Watervliet Shaker Road improvement project completed
COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A project to improve traffic on Watervliet Shaker Road in Colonie is complete. On Wednesday, Albany County officials said changes were made to improve driver and pedestrian safety.
Drivers can expect ADA-compliant bike lanes, pedestrian pathways, and improved stormwater collection and treatment. The project's design elements included new pavement, utility and drainage work, and the relocation of a gas main and multiple poles.
Career Path, New Karner Road, and Sand Creek Road have new coordinated traffic signals. Officials said new intersection and pedestrian lights were also added during the project.
