Strong front moves in for Thanksgiving, temperatures drop throughout the day
It's chilly this morning, with readings in the mid-50s, but we'll warm up quickly throughout the day. This is due to a warm front, which will be lifting northward through the region. This warm front will bring an increase in clouds and southwesterly winds later this afternoon. Winds could be in the 12-24 mph range. A few isolated showers could be possible as well, but any precipitation today should remain fairly light and brief.
Models have been quicker and quicker with the main cold front, which is now expected to move through very early tomorrow morning. This means our high temperature in the upper 60s to lower 70s will likely occur just after midnight, with temperatures dropping throughout the day. By the afternoon tomorrow, temperatures will likely be falling into the upper 50s to lower 60s with strong northerly winds. By tomorrow night, temperatures will fall into the upper 40s to lower 50s with overnight lows in the mid 40s by Friday morning.
