In first Cabinet meeting, J'khand CM decides to form panel to study 'plight' of tea tribes in Assam

JMM leader Hemant Soren, newly sworn in as Jharkhand's chief minister, approves the formation of an all-party panel to investigate the marginalisation of tea tribes from Jharkhand residing in Assam. Despite their contribution to Assam's economy, these tribes lack Scheduled Tribe status and are deprived of welfare benefits.
