US approves $385 mln arms sale for Taiwan

The U.S. State Department has approved the sale of spare parts for F-16 jets and radars to Taiwan estimated at $385 million. This move comes as Taiwan President Lai Ching-te begins a trip through the Pacific. Despite Beijing's opposition, the U.S. continues to support Taiwan's defense capabilities, including a recent $2 billion arms package.
