James Maddison will love Harry Redknapp’s prediction for Spurs vs Fulham
Former Spurs boss, Harry Redknapp, has predicted Tottenham’s upcoming match against Fulham.
Tottenham need to dig deep while in injury crisis
Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to find some consistency in their results. They face Fulham in another Premier League match on a Sunday after their Thursday night Europa League game against Roma.
Spurs have only won one of their four Premier League games that have come after a Europa League fixture, losing the other three.
With hopes of going far in the European competition as well as breaking into the Premier League’s top four, Tottenham will have to find a way to win consistently during December’s relentless schedule.
Harry Redknapp’s prediction for Spurs vs Fulham
Former Spurs manager, Harry Redknapp, has predicted Tottenham’s upcoming game against Fulham.
Speaking to BetVictor, he said: “Another London derby, and what should be another great game. I feel like not even writing about Tottenham, you just don’t know what to expect! I thought they were brilliant against City, why can’t they play like that every week? If they did, they’d be in this title race, no question.
“Fulham lost to Wolves, but they didn’t play badly and were just undone by some absolute brilliance from Matheus Cunha. It’s been a great start to the season for Marco Silva’s side, and they’ll go to Spurs fancying the win.
Redknapp believes one Spurs player in particular will have a standout game. “James Maddison was superb last week. In terms of England, he’s found himself on the outside of the squad but in this form, Thomas Tuchel is bound to have been impressed.
“I know Spurs lost to Ipswich here a couple of weeks ago, but I can’t see that sort of thing happening again.”
Prediction: Tottenham 3 – 1 Fulham
Spurs need Maddison to rise to the challenge once again
With Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke playing the entirety of the game against Roma, James Maddison’s slightly fresher legs will need to be relied on against Fulham.
Brennan Johnson and Son Heung-min were substituted during the Roma match, but it will take Maddison’s control and guile to bypass a difficult opponent in Fulham.
Spurs fans will be hoping that he can continue his inspired form that earned him two goals against Manchester City.
