Fortnite Remix: The Finale live event breaks records with 14million players watching – encore is due soon
FORTNITE concluded its Remix season and the whole of Chapter 5 with a big live event featuring a touching tribute to late rapper Juice WRLD.
The in-game event, which also included performances by Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Ice Spice, set a new all-time record for an in-game concert.

The exact peak player count on Fortnite during the live event was 14,343,880, based on figures from website Fortnite.gg, which pulls data directly from the game.
Unlike this season’s opening concert, which was a live broadcast from Times Square, The Finale was an in-game digital experience.
Fortnite Remix: The Finale started around 7pm UK Time / 2pm ET on Saturday and lasted about 15 minutes.
If you missed the live event in Fortnite, there will be an encore in-game tonight, November 30, 2024, at 8pm ET / 5pm PT.
The event kicked off at Snoop Dogg’s headquarters, The Doggpound, a remixed version of The Agency at the center of Fortnite’s Battle Royale map.
The concert opened with a towering digital version of Snoop Dogg performing “Drop It Like It’s Hot” in front of The Doggpound.
Snoop Dogg’s section of the concert continued in space where a cel-shaded version of the rapper sang his brand-new song “Another Part of Me” featuring Sting.
As the rapper blasted away on a Fortnite Battle Bus, Eminem took over with his duet song with Rihanna, “The Monster”, followed by the rapper’s more recent hit, “Houdini”.
Ice Spice was next with “In Ha Mood”, inviting players to follow her across neon-lit rooftops.
The final section of the concert was a tribute to the late rapper and Fortnite fan Juice WRLD, transporting players to shores on the eastern side of the Battle Royle island.
At the exact spot where Juice WRLD first appeared earlier last week in-game, players were treated to a world premiere of a previously unreleased track, “Empty Out Your Pockets”.
The concert concluded with Juice WRLD’s most popular hit, “Lucid Dreams”.
Before returning to the lobby, players could also watch the official music video for “Empty Out Your Pockets”, which is set entirely in Fortnite’s world.
This is the first time the game honours a celebrity who has passed away, and Fortnite nailed a touching tribute to the late rapper who died in 2019.
Fortnite Remix: The Finale concludes Fortnite’s hip-hop star-studded Remix season and the game’s entire Chapter 5.
Players still have a few hours to claim the Slayer Juice WRLD skin just by logging into the game.
Chapter 6 kicks off tomorrow, December 1, 2024, with Season 1: Hunters bringing a Japanese theme to the game.
