Holly Willoughby renovating new £8m mansion after moving out of £3m London home following kidnap & murder plot
HOLLY Willoughby has splashed out £8million on a new family home and is busy doing it up.
The mother of three and her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin are renovating the luxury property — and having extra security installed.
Two months ago This Morning host Holly, 43, moved out of the £3million London home that had been targeted in a twisted plan to kidnap and murder the pair.
It was thought that the couple were relocating to the countryside after their ordeal, but The Sun on Sunday can reveal that they have decided to stay in the South East.
A source said: “It’s a fresh start after a challenging year and an opportunity to put all memories of the nightmare behind her.
“The house is currently undergoing building work so it will be like new and perfect for their needs.”
The couple bought the six-bedroom property in July.
Last week Holly was spotted out celebrating at the premiere of Robbie Williams’ new biopic Better Man, and she returns to ITV prime-time next week with rebooted gameshow You Bet!
She will star in big budget Netflix series Bear Hunt next month.
Three life sentences
Holly ended her 14-year stint on ITV’s This Morning after Gavin Plumb was given three life sentences for planning to break into her home, then sedate, abduct and kill her and her husband.
Plumb was arrested at his home in Harlow, Essex, after trying to recruit an accomplice who turned out to be an undercover US cop.
He told him online: “We’ll jump the outer wall, break in, chloroform both her and her husband. Tie both up with zip ties and gag both.”
His trial at Chelmsford crown court in July heard he chillingly bought 400 metal cable ties, as well as bottles of chloroform.
Obese security guard Plumb, 37, had a decade-long obsession with Holly and was found to have more than 10,000 images of her on his phone.
He shared Google Earth images of her home with potential accomplices and spoke of taking a tour of ITV’s studios to assess the potential for kidnapping her.

It took police more than six months to go through just ten per cent of material on his devices.
In 2006 Plumb, then 19, got a suspended sentence for attempting to kidnap two air stewardesses from trains.
Two years later, he took two 16-year-old shop girls hostage while working as a security guard.
