Native American students celebrate Comanche teacher working to preserve students’ culture

Linette Amparan, a teacher at the Comanche Academy Charter School in Lawton, Oklahoma, has always dreamed of completing her bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Her dream began nearly 30 years ago, when she decided she wanted to help children in the Comanche Nation to preserve their language and history. And this year, her students are honoring her after she completed her education. NBC News’ Jose Diaz-Balart has more on her inspiring story.
