Despite no BRICS currency plan, Donald Trump issues threat

US President-elect Donald Trump has threatened 100% tariffs if BRICS countries create their own currency to replace the US dollar. However, a common BRICS currency is not currently being discussed. BRICS members are focusing on trade using their national currencies. India and Russia, as well as India and UAE, are increasingly conducting direct trade in their local currencies.
