Bangladesh HC acquits all accused, including ex-PM Khaleda Zia's son, in 2004 Hasina attack case

The High Court in Dhaka has overturned a lower court's verdict and acquitted all 49 accused, including former PM Khaleda Zia's son Tarique Rahman, in the 2004 grenade attack on Sheikh Hasina's rally that killed 24 people. The High Court deemed the trial court's verdict illegal due to coerced confessions.
