Not only would the two main costars return, but she also confirmed that “Almost every single character from the original that was important is coming back….This is all pending, them making deals, them saying yes, but they’re all in there.”

The sequel could begin shooting in “second quarter next year,” Mira said.

“But, it’s not officially greenlit, so I can’t say that it’s officially greenlit,” she went on to say.

The 1997 comedy from David Mirkin centered around Mira as Romy White and and Lisa as Michele Weinberger, old friends who return to their 10th High School Reunion in Tucson, Arizona, determined to show up their old school bullies with some made-up successes. Janeane Garofalo, Alan Cumming, Camryn Manheim, Elaine Hendrix and Justin Theroux all starred in the project.

Lisa Kudrow also has an exciting Netflix project landing this month on the streamer.
