Headliners coming to Portland this December include Billie Eilish, John Legend

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — As an exciting year of music closes, Portland is still looking forward to numerous shows featuring artists in pop, rap, rock and more.

Learn more about some of the artists coming to local concert venues throughout December.

BigXThaPlug - Take Care Tour

When: Saturday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.
Where: Hawthorne Theater, 1507 SE 39th Ave, Portland, OR 97214

Dallas-born BigXThaPlug is hitting the road in support of his sophomore record “Take Care.” The artist’s discography features fellow rappers like Finesse2tymes and Migos’ Offset.

Sixpence None the Richer - We Are Love 25th Anniversary Tour

When: Saturday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.
Where: Wonder Ballroom, 128 NE Russell St, Portland, OR 97212

Alternative rock band Sixpence None the Richer, best known for 1998 hit “Kiss Me,” is touring with its original members for the first time since 2002. The Texas-formed group will perform olderr tracks, in addition to recent songs from this year’s EP “Rosemary Hill.”

Billie Eilish - Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour

When: Sunday, Dec. 8 at 7 p.m.
Where: Moda Center, 1 N Center Ct St, Portland, OR 97227

Since releasing her first album in 2019, pop star Billie Eilish has consistently taken over the charts and awards shows with songs like “Bad Guy” and “What Was I Made For.” Her latest release has nabbed seven nominations for the 2025 Grammy Awards.

John Legend - A John Legend Christmas

When: Monday, Dec. 9 at 8 p.m.
Where: Moda Center, 1 N Center Ct St, Portland, OR 97227

Singer-songwriter John Legend will perform classic tunes from his holiday album “A Legendary Christmas.” According to event organizers, “the evening will also feature Legend’s signature storytelling, providing audiences with an intimate experience as he reflects on his career, life, and the stories behind the music.”

Matteo Bocelli - A Night With Matteo

When: Monday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Newmark Theatre, 1111 SW Broadway, Portland, OR 97205

Matteo Bocelli, the son of acclaimed tenor Andrea Bocelli, released his debut self-titled album in September 2023. His current tour is his first-ever as a headlining act.

Candlelight: Best of “Bridgerton” On Strings

When: Monday Dec. 16 at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Where: Alberta Rose Theatre, 3000 NE Alberta St, Portland, OR 97211

Netflix’s hit period drama “Bridgerton” showcases orchestral versions of hit pop songs like Ariana Grande’s “pov” and Sia’s “Cheap Thrills.” This concert will include some of the series’ best string arrangements, all while candlelight illuminates the Alberta Rose Theatre.

Ural Thomas and the Pain: Ural's 85th Birthday Celebration

When: Saturday, Dec. 21 at 8 p.m.
Where: Revolution Hall, 1300 SE Stark St #203, Portland, OR 97214

Albina Music Trust and Mississippi Records are partnering to host an 85th birthday party for iconic Portland soul singer Ural Thomas. The party will feature performances from his band Ural Thomas and The Pain, along with special guests The Get Tight and Rattlesnake Mama.
