Origins
Origins is a minimalist solo exhibition featuring works by Melbourne-based Marsha Golemac at OIGÅLL PROJECTS. Marsha Golemac has spent over a decade refining her multidisciplinary practice, spanning art direction, photography, set design, fine art, curation, and consulting. Her work is defined by a commitment to precision, material experimentation, and a focus on creating emotional connections. Golemac’s debut solo exhibition presents a collection of works that are understated yet compelling, inviting prolonged contemplation. The pieces are crafted from a carefully selected palette of materials, including aluminum, steel, rubber, latex, and wood.
These choices reflect her interest in blending the industrial with the domestic, transforming utilitarian elements into sculptural vessels. Each object in the exhibition serves as both a physical form shaped by memory and experience and as a metaphorical container for future possibilities. Through their thoughtful placement and the narratives of their origins, Golemac examines the concept of provenance, encouraging a deeper awareness of the hidden meanings that imbue even the most familiar objects with significance.
