“It made me feel so angry. The whole cast was superb, but Robyn Malcolm was seriously next level. Superb.”
Another enthused: “The first ep of #AfterTheParty is an incredible example of both establishing a clearly defined character in the opening moments & starting the story right off the back of that.
“It feels grounded, mature w/ a lived in perf from Robyn Malcolm- looking forward to see where it goes.”
A third said: “Anyone been watching #AfterTheParty on #Channel4 just binged it. Incredible performances and brilliantly written.
While another viewer loved how dark it was and said: “Finished binge watching the thought provoking uncompromising New Zealand series.
“It is dark & and deals with the horrendous subject of grooming & sexual abuse. A selfless mother who does everything she can to protect her family.”
Declaring it the best thing they had watched this year, one viewer exclaimed: “This NZ drama is the best thing I’ve watched in 2024.
“So often I get bored with dramas like The Perfect Couple or Apples Never Fall, with their lack of credibility. This drama was of the highest calibre.”
“Enjoyed #AfterTheParty on Channel 4 (if enjoyed is the right word, as it felt quite tense throughout).” declared another.
