Boy, 14, left with ‘life-changing’ injuries after e-bike hit-and-run
A teenage boy has suffered potentially ‘life-changing’ injuries after a car hit him while he was riding an e-bike.
The car fled the scene this morning in Newmarket Green, south London, after the 14-year-old boy was struck.
Police and ambulance took the boy to hospital with serious leg injuries and officers are pleading for witnesses.
Photos from the scene show a bag left by the kerb and other belongings scattered around near the police cordon.
Last week, a 25-year-old mum of one was killed after her e-bike was rammed by a Land Rover in a hit-and-run.
Alana Armstrong, a mum of a six-year-old boy, was pronounced dead at the scene in Pleasley, Derbyshire.
Two people, a man and woman in their 30s, have since been arrested and a murder probe launched after the car allegedly hit the e-bike.
