Margot Robbie boasts going ‘completely naked’ in Wolf of Wall Street was her idea- though director told her to wear robe

MARGOT Robbie went nude in The Wolf of Wall Street, with the actress now revealing that it was actually her idea all along.

The Barbie actress, 34, has boasted about going “completely naked” while starring in The Wolf of Wall Street even though the director of the movie insisted that she should wear a robe.

Martin Scorsese, who directed the hit flick, said that the blonde beauty could wear a robe if she wanted to – but Margot decided against doing so and took creative direction into her own hands.

And now it has been revealed that it was Margot’s idea to strip down completely nude for a scene.

The scene in question was the one that saw her character Naomi seduce wealthy stockbroker Jordan Belfort, who was played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

Speaking out on the Talking Pictures podcast, Margot has broken her silence on the nude scene and given listeners an insight into how it came about.

“That’s not what she would do in that scene,” Margot said of her character Naomi, and how she would not want to wear a robe.

She added, “The whole point is that she’s going to come out completely naked—that’s the card she’s playing.”

And Margot’s creative input didn’t stop there, because during her audition, she slapped Leonardo instead of kissing him.

“I thought, I could kiss Leonardo DiCaprio right now, and that would be awesome.

“I can’t wait to tell all of my friends this. And then I thought… nah. And just walloped him in the face,” she recalled.

Margot added, “It was dead silence for what felt like an eternity but was probably three seconds.

“Then they just burst out laughing.

“Leo and Marty were laughing so hard, they said ‘that was great.’

“I was thinking, I’m going to get arrested, I’m pretty sure that’s assault, battery.”

She then joked that they could have said to her, “Not only will you never work again, actually you will go to jail for this, you idiot. And also why did you have to hit him so hard? You should have done it lighter.”
