However, you don’t need to shell out loads on pricey products, according to Grace.

She’s managed to completely transform her facade in the last year, and has taught herself about skincare in the process too.

And she swears by an 89p hack to wake her skin up in the morning – and it works to define her features too.

Grace demonstrated in a video on her TikTok page, as she took a out a cucumber that had been cut in half and put in the freezer.

She then used the skinless end of the cucumber to rub all over her skin, her lips and even her eyes.

As the end of the cucumber had been cut diagonally, she was also able to use it as a gua sha – which traditionally uses a metal or glass tool to reduce puffiness as it’s scraped along the face.

In response to one question on her video, Grace responded to insist “yes, it does work”.

She added as well as reducing puffiness, the benefits include soothing sunburn and skin irritation, as well as softening skin and reducing redness.

Grace doesn’t use the hack every morning, but does it “2-3 times a week”.

“Massage it on your face for 60 seconds,” she said, warning “don’t do it for too long because the ice can burn your skin”.

And she also reassured people that she wasn’t wasting food, as she pops the cucumber back into the freezer afterwards to use again another day.

Others took to the comments section to insist the hack works for them too, with one writing: “My face has been itching me for some time and after trying this it doesn’t itch any more.

“It brightening my face too.”

“Yes, the best ever!” another raved.

“The best tip ever,” a third gushed.

“Definitely trying this,” someone else said.

The importance of sun cream in your skincare routine

Dermatologist and skincare enthusiast Andrea Suarez - known as Dr Dray - revealed why you should wear suncream.

The one thing you can do that will make the biggest difference – and this matters for all ages – is protecting your skin from the sun, Andrea stressed.

“The vast majority of external aging is due to exposure to ultraviolet radiation,” she continued, not because you’re “not using some jazzy serum or layering 90 different things on your face everyday”.

“If you’re not doing in your 20s, get on that now.”

But she said the use of sun cream alone doesn’t go far enough. Andrea urged that you also wear sun-protective clothing like broad-brimmed hats and long sleeves, on top of not staying out too long in the sun.

Doing this over your lifetime – and all year, not just during the summer or on sunny days – “will reduce the visible signs of photoageing”, Andrea said.

Those are wrinkles, muddled pigmentation and sagging skin.

Grace has been sharing her skincare tips and tricks on her social 0media pages, much to the delight of her almost 90,000 followers.

Her videos are super popular too, with the cucumber hack one currently on a whopping 6.7 million likes.
