Spurs in three-horse race to sign attacker with seven goals this season
Spurs are reportedly right in the thick of a transfer battle with two of their Premier League rivals for the services of a winger who is setting the Bundesliga alight this season.
Englishman thriving in Germany
Following Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham, Jamie Gittens is the latest English youngster who is making a name for himself at Borussia Dortmund.
The pacy left-sided winger has scored seven times and provided another four assists this season, with his displays reportedly bringing him to the attention of several Premier League sides.
It was first reported back in October that Spurs were tracking the 20-year-old’s progress as they contemplate a move for him in January.
Spurs involved in three-horse race for Jamie Gittens
Bild have now become the latest outlet to report on Spurs’ interest in Gittens but they reveal that the Lilywhites are facing competition from two of their rivals.
The outlet claims that Liverpool and Chelsea are also showing interest in the Manchester City academy graduate as the race for his signature heats up.
It is asserted that the Premier League trio have been tracking the youngster for ‘a long time’ and would be ‘happy to pay’ a big fee for him.
How much will Gittens cost?
The report reveals that Dortmund are hoping that the Englishman could be their next €100m sale candidate.
It is not revealed if Spurs, Liverpool or Chelsea would be willing to pay that amount but it said that the German club would not be able to hold onto the player for a long time.
The publication adds that Gittens is ‘more likely’ to return to England sooner rather than later.
