Fog early, sun later, as dry weather continues in Portland metro

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Chilly mornings around the Portland and Vancouver metro area continue over the next few days with lows in the low- to mid-30s. But once we get to Friday morning, our morning lows will get back into the 40s through the weekend.

Monday's forecast is pretty much a repeat of Sunday's weather -- we're expecting patchy morning fog up and down the Willamette Valley with some dense fog in areas. But by about 9 a.m. Monday, the fog should make way for plenty of sunshine around Portland. Afternoon highs will range from the mid- to upper-40s throughout the valley.

As for our dry trend, it rolls on into the middle part of the week. The next chance of rain doesn't come until late in the week with just a few isolated showers expected Thursday night. Then Friday and Saturday we could see some scattered showers.

The National Weather Service has extended the Air Stagnation Advisory for much of the Willamette Valley through Thursday morning.

Stay with the KOIN 6 Weather Team for the latest on the forecast across the Pacific Northwest.
