Man arrested in Glenville after allegedly fleeing from police
GLENVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Pattersonville man was arrested on November 26 after an alleged police pursuit. Steven Mango, 41, faces multiple charges.
The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office said that it responded to the area of Route 147 and Route 67 in Charlton when it was reported that a car fled from State Police. Sheriffs reported finding a car matching the description of the suspected car traveling south on Route 147 and followed it.
Upon confirmation of the vehicle, deputies attempted to stop the car at which it continued to drive away. The pursuit continued into Glenville after which Mango lost control of the car and exited the roadway, hitting an embankment, deputies reported.
Mango reportedly left the car and began to run before he was taken into custody. At the time of his arrest, Mango allegedly had four grams of cocaine on him.
Charges:
- Criminal Possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony
- Unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, a class A misdemeanor
- Speeding, an infraction
- Failure to use designated lane, an infraction
Mango was released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings. But he was turned over to the Schenectady Police Department on active warrants.
