Some NJ Transit trains suspended or seeing hour delays at Penn Station

NEW YORK (PIX11) – NJ Transit rail service was suspended on some lines due to overhead wire issues near Newark Penn Station on Monday, according to officials.

The North Coast Jersey Line and Northeast Corridor were suspended in both directions. They're now running with limited service in and out of Penn Station, NJ Transit said.

The Raritan Valley Line will start and end at Newark Penn Station and is experiencing 60-minute delays.

Eastbound Midtown Direct service will be diverted to Hoboken. NJ Transit tickets will be cross-honored by PATH at Newark, Hoboken, 33rd Street-New York, NJ Transit and private carrier buses.
