Mystery over death of woman, 23, found in street as cops hunt TWO vehicles that drove off after horror crash
COPS are probing the mysterious death of a 23-year-old woman found dead in a residential road.
Carolina Ramirez Jimenez was rushed to hospital after she was found with serious head injuries in Battersea, south west London in the early hours of Thursday.
Carolina is understood to have been riding pillion passenger on a Yamaha motorbike when it became involved in a fatal crash.
But neither the motorbike, nor a Range Rover, believed to be involved have been found.
And sadly, Carolina died in hospital a short time after she was found.
Now cops have issued a second appeal to witnesses.
They urge anyone who was in the area at the time, who may have seen the motorbike or a dark coloured Range Rover to come forward.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed they “have been carrying out a range of further enquiries since it happened.”
Two men, aged 23 and 34 have been arrested on suspicion of motoring offences, including causing death by driving, but both of them have been bailed pending further enquiries.
The Metropolitan Police added: “Anyone with information is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8543 5157 or via 101 quoting CAD 710/01Aug.”
It comes after a mum was sexually assaulted in broad daylight while playing with her kids in a park.
Cops launched an urgent manhunt to find her attacker.
The woman was assaulted in Morden Recreation Park in London at 2.20pm on Sunday, October 20, while she was with her family and playing with her children, cops said.
The suspect has been described as in his late teens, around 6ft tall and of skinny build.
Cops released an E-fit of the man in an appeal to the public to help find him.
He was wearing a burgundy hoodie with white writing on it, blue tracksuit trousers and black trainers, the Metropolitan Police say.
The suspect ran in the direction of nearby Canterbury Road after the assault.
