Ted will be honored alongside this year’s Cecil B. DeMille Award winner Viola Davis at a special gala dinner on January 3, 2025 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, marking the first time the awards show will be hosting a special separate event dedicated to the two awards.
Ted and Viola, 59, will also be recognized during the 2025 Golden Globes, which will be taking place on January 5, 2025.
The Carol Burnett Awards was created in 2019, with Carol Burnett herself receiving the award. The honor is presented to someone who “has made outstanding contributions to television on or off screen. The recipient is selected based on their body of work and the lasting impact of their television career achievements on both the industry and audiences.”
Other past recipients include Norman Lear, Ryan Murphy, and Ellen DeGeneres.
Ted is a 13-time Golden Globe nominee and three time winner.
