Why 'Superman & Lois' Is Ending: The CW's Reasoning, Explained

Warner Bros. actually made the call.
“They don’t want a competing Superman product in the marketplace,” The CW’s president of entertainment Brad Schwartz told The Wrap several months ago. “They” refers to the studio Warner Bros. and the “competing product” refers to James Gunn‘s upcoming Superman movie starring David Corenswet. It looks like the studio did not want multiple Superman stories out there at once.
