New twist in Hannah Kobayashi case as cops reveal missing woman was spotted alive on CCTV going into Mexico

MISSING photographer Hannah Kobayashi was seen entering Mexico, police say.

Kobayashi was last seen on November 11 after she left her Hawaiian home for a bucket list trip.

She is believed to have deliberately missed her connecting flight from LA to New York, with police now revealing she went to Mexico instead.

Cops say Kobayashi was alone and was travelling with her luggage when security footage recorded her alive between November 12 and 13.

Kobayashi took the bus to San Ysidro, California, before crossing into Tijuana on November 12.

The new twist comes after a series of shock revelations – with Kobayashi sending cryptic texts to her family and missing a flight she was supposed to take.

LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell said cops have done “everything we can” as she had left the US and entered another country.

He said: “The investigation has not uncovered any evidence that Kobayashi is being trafficked or is the victim of foul play.

“She is also not a suspect in any criminal activity. Additionally, the investigators noted that before departing Maui, Kobayashi expressed the desire to step away from modern connectivity.”

In a statement, the LAPD also said: “investigators noted that before departing Maui, Kobayashi expressed a desire to step away from modern connectivity.”

Tragically, Kobayashi’s dad Ryan was found dead from suicide in an LA parking lot 12 days after the CCTV footage was recorded.

His heartbroken family say he bottled up his emotions as he tirelessly searched for his daughter.

Ryan was said to have scoured some of LA’s most dangerous neighborhoods in a bid to find Hannah.

A GoFundMe page set up after Ryan’s passing read: “He has been living his absolute worst nightmare since Hannah’s disappearance, and now, with his passing, our family is grappling with unimaginable grief.”

Hannah’s aunt Larie told the New York Post: “Imagine looking in places like Skid Row, picturing his daughter being sex trafficked, not getting sleep,”

“He just broke.”
