I’m A Celebrity’s Dean reveals torrential downpour ruined camp dinner and forced bosses to give them replacement meal
NORTHERN Ireland star Dean McCullough has revealed that it wasn’t always rice and beans for dinner in the jungle on I’m A Celebrity.
On Sunday Dean became the second famous face to leave the jungle on ITV‘s I’m A Celebrity, as the public vote saw him leave the camp.

In an interview with the Mirror, Dean explained: “Imagine the worst camping trip you’ve ever been on.
“You think it’s going to be gorgeous, then everything gets wet and you’re stuck there for weeks. Nothing ever dries out.”
The rain got so bad in camp that fellow broadcaster Melvin Odoom was forced to spend one night sleeping in the Bushtucker Telegraph, when his hammock filled with rainwater.
At one point the heavy rain ruined the camp mates dinners, as Dean revealed the show bosses stepped in to replace the meal.
He explained: “All our crocodile tail for dinner was ruined, so they gave us tofu instead.
“If that’s not short change, I don’t know what is…from crocodile tail to tofu.”
Despite facing many of the show’s Bushtucker Trials and taking on seven challenges in his short stint in the jungle, Dean has spoken highly of his time on the ITV show.
After his fate was declared on Sunday’s I’m A Celeb, Dean said: “I have really, really soaked up this whole experience, all the trials, you know, the things that I faced.
“I got stuck in at camp, done a bit of everything, and I really, really, really enjoyed it.
“And when I woke up this morning, I thought, if I go today, I am over the moon because I’ve not missed out on anything.”
Dean added: “I’ve learned that life is better when it’s simpler. You really, really don’t need to be on your phone all the time.
“You don’t need to be chasing the next appointment, the next meeting, the next gig…
“You can literally just sit in the moment and just watch what is going on.”
The heavy rain also saw producers forced to replace one of the camp meals after it was ‘ruined’[/caption] Dean completed seven Bushtucker Trials during his time on the ITV show[/caption] Dean was second to be booted out of the Aussie camp, seen here with mum Ann[/caption]
