Pokémon TCG Pocket gives players a new full-art Mewtwo card alongside Pikachu accessories
POKÉMON TCG Pocket is creature collectors’ latest free-to-play app, but you can purchase a subscription for even more rewards.
As we enter the second month of TCG Pocket the premium rewards have changed, meaning there are more things that you can grab.
If you used your free two-week TCG Pocket premium trial last month, you will have picked up a special full-art Pikachu card.
Full-art Mewtwo is the latest free card[/caption] But you can also earn Pikachu-themed accessories[/caption] These can be paired with last month’s Pikachu full-art card[/caption]You also had the opportunity to collect Mewtwo-themed cosmetics such as a coin, sleeves, and playmat.
In December, Pokémon has turned things on their head, as you can collect a full-art Mewtwo card and Pikachu cosmetics.
It costs £8 / $10 for a monthly subscription but there are a number of rewards you can pick up for the cost.
Aside from the extra pack that you can open each day, there are some rewards that are only purchasable with a premium subscription.
Once you purchase the subscription you’ll automatically earn the new Mewtwo card, but the more you play, the more accessories you can earn.
By opening booster packs, selecting wonder picks, and collecting cards, you’ll be able to earn premium tickets that you can trade in for the Pikachu accessories.
You will also earn wonder pick and pack hourglasses, allowing you to open more packs and pick more cards.
Here are the new Premium Shop items for December 2024 in Pokémon TCG Pocket:
- Pokémon Coin (Pikachu) – 6 Premium Tickets
- Playmat (Pikachu) – 12 Premium Tickets
- Card sleeve (Pikachu) – 6 Premium Tickets
- Backdrop (Pikachu) – 3 Premium Tickets
- Cover (Pikachu) – 3 Premium Tickets
If you missed out on the Mewtwo cosmetics, they are still available in the premium shop until the end of December.
The Pikachu accessories will be available until the end of January, though more cosmetic items will become available in the new year.
I Pikachuse You
It’s a shrewd move by The Pokémon Company to mix and match the rewards, so that players will have to subscribe for two months in order to grab a matching set.
In the first month it was unclear if premium tickets would roll over to the new month, but now we can confirm that you can save tickets from your premium trial.
This means that if you don’t like the current cosmetics, you can wait and purchase others that are more to your liking.
