I’m A Celeb’s Dean lifts lid on secret crew who are on hand 24/7 to save campmates
DEAN McCullough has revealed the secret I’m a Celeb crew who are on hand 24/7 to stop campmates from getting into trouble.
The radio DJ, 32, was the second I’m a Celebrity star to leave the jungle and appeared on spin-off Unpacked last night.
Last night he appeared on spin-off show Unpacked[/caption]A viewer sent in a voice note asking if there are rangers in the camp to get rid of unwanted creatures.
Revealing he was saved by one one of the staff on hand, Dean replied: “They are worth their weight in gold.
“When we had the flood the other night we all went to bed and the camp is very dark at night.
“All we have lit around the camp usually is one mosquito candle but there are cameras on all the time looking for any activity. I really needed a wee and I was half asleep.
“I got up and must have been walking closer and closer to the camp fire – it was out but it was still hot.
“This random arm – big, beefy, Australian arm – just appeared from the darkness and he pulled me and just walked me up to the dunny.”
Dean revealed he forgot all about the midnight encounter until he was reminded the next day.
He continued: “I completely forgot about it until the next day when he said ‘how’d you get on last night then, mate?’
“I said ‘let me see your arm’ and he showed me and I was like, ‘it was you, you rescued me from the fire’. They’re watching everything. If there’s a spider in the dunny, they’re right in there.”
Last night Reverend Richard Coles took a shock swipe at Dean after he left the camp.
Viewers branded Dean “lazy” during his time in camp for having an aversion to chores.
And Rev Coles couldn’t resist making a comment about his unwillingness to help around the camp.
After Tulisa lamented his departure and the lack of early morning amateur dramatics, Rev Coles said: “Who’s going to not fetch our water now?!”
Hosts Ant and Dec couldn’t resist poking fun at the catty remark, renaming Richard “b***hard”.
