Visible withdrawal symptoms of ATMs

Banking reorganisation is slowing the growth of ATMs in India more than a decline in cash transactions. Rules on ATM fees and bank mergers have changed the business case for ATMs, reducing their numbers. However, rising currency demand and financial inclusion efforts may stabilise ATM numbers as the segment becomes profitable despite the rise in online transactions.
