BHU scientists discover a natural method to protect maize crops from the destructive fungus

Scientists at Banaras Hindu University have discovered that seed-borne bacteria, called endophytes, can protect maize crops from the destructive Fusarium verticillioides fungus. These microbes boost plant growth, produce antifungal compounds, and stimulate the plant's immune system.
