New phone dilemma (1 reply)

Folks I need help, I took out a new contract at carphon warehouse over the weekend and it's one of those flip phones (because I'm a poser). Somehow I've managed to close it and there was a splinter of metal right in the corner and it has damaged the screen beyond use.

I didn't take out the insurance at the time (I was gonna do it this week) but am I gonna have to suck this one up and pay to repair or can I argue this one.

I fear I already know the answer so kind replies only please.
