Voodoo Doughnuts set to open first Seattle location
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Portland-based donut chain Voodoo Doughnut will open its first Seattle location on Dec. 10, the company announced Tuesday.
Voodoo’s newest location is located at 1201 Pine St. in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. Doors open at 8 a.m. The first 50 customers in line will receive “an exclusive gift” to celebrate the grand opening, the company said.
“The legendary purveyor of innovative and imaginative doughnuts is excited to announce the grand opening of its highly anticipated store in Seattle’s vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood,” Voodoo Doughnuts announced.
The Seattle location will offer more than 40 donut flavors, including Voodoo’s signature bacon maple bar.
“Fans can expect the same whimsical decor and irreverent spirit that have made Voodoo Doughnut an iconic destination since its founding in Portland, Ore. in 2003,” the company said.
Voodoo Doughnut has pledged to donate 20% of its opening-day sales to the Seattle-based organization FareStart. FareStart is a nonprofit that helps people transition out of homelessness with free service-industry training. Since 1992, FareStart has served 19 million meals to Seattle-area schools and nonprofit organizations.
