FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Tuesday will finally bring temperatures above the freezing point. Highs across Central Ohio will still only warm up to the mid 30s. This is roughly 10-15 degrees below normal for the start of December. Skies will break up a little bit in the afternoon for some sunshine. Scattered flurries will stick around today as well.
This small warming trend continues into the night. Even though temperatures will fall back below freezing, the air temp and wind chill will not be as cold as in nights past. Skies will stay partly cloudy until sunrise rolls around.
Wednesday will really warm things up, but it will be very hard to feel. Highs will approach the 40 degree mark ahead of the next cold front to move through Central Ohio. Along with this warm up will be very breezy winds, especially in the afternoon. Gusts at times will be close to 40 mph.
That cold front overnight will bring some light wintry mix scattered over the area. Temperatures will plummet on the back end of the front. Wind chills are going to drop to the single digits. The coldest day of the season is likely on Thursday only reaching the mid-upper 20s.
More changed come over the weekend and beyond. This Sunday brings a return to temps in the mid 40s with rain showers. Highs next Monday will top up near 50 degrees finally bringing conditions above normal.
