A small, 27-inch asteroid designated C0WEPC5 harmlessly entered Earth's atmosphere over northeastern Siberia on Tuesday, creating a fireball. The European Space Agency successfully predicted the impact after detecting the asteroid just 12 hours prior. This marks the fourth asteroid strike on Earth this year and the eleventh ever recorded.
