Leader working to get 'most bang for New Yorker's buck'
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — As 2024 enters its final month, we looked back at the start of the year to see the successes and failures Governor Hochul and the Democrat party had during the year.
This week on Empire State Weekly, Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Majority Leader of the State Senate, spoke about the successes the governor saw in housing. The Majority Leader explained she is confident that each branch of government will be able to work together to get things done in 2025.
"Along with our Assembly colleagues and the Governor, we've pretty much been rowing in the same direction. Our priorities are not different. We're not fighting about whether or not we need housing, we are talking about how we can get, frankly, the most bang for New Yorkers' buck," said Stewart-Cousins.
Also this week, PIX11 political reporter Henry Rosoff explained the impact the recent targeted shooting of the UnitedHealthcare CEO will have on tourism safety in the city for the holiday season.
