Moderating weather this weekend, lots of sunshine

Central Ohio Weather and Radar

High pressure will build across the Southeast this weekend, bringing moderating temperatures.

Tonight will be cold, with morning readings in the low 20s, and partly cloudy skies becoming sunny during the day.

A warm-up will begin Saturday, as readings rise into the upper 30s, with sunny skies. On Sunday, with high pressure sliding farther east, southwesterly winds will bump temperatures up considerably, into the upper 40s, as high clouds increase later in the day.

A mild, wet pattern will set in early next week, with low pressure traveling across the Upper Midwest. The entire region will see a steady rain on Monday, beginning in the predawn hours. Temperatures will reach the 50s Monday and Tuesday, in a broad southwesterly flow.

A trailing cold front sliding east across Ohio will bring another round of showers on Tuesday associated, as a wave of low pressure moves along the boundary. Snow will fall on the cold western side of the storm across parts of the Midwest and Great Lakes states.

Colder air will filter into Ohio Wednesday, turning any lingering moisture into light snow or flurries, as temperatures fall back into the 30s.
