Columbus organization raises $450K with 'Holiday Tour of Homes'

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)-- A local organization has hit a major milestone all while raising money for those in need, right here in central Ohio.

Now in its 20th year, the Holiday Tour of Homes event run by the Junior League of Columbus, has raised nearly $450,000. The women’s volunteer organization has spent months curating homes that will be available for viewing in the Grandview, Upper Arlington and Marble Cliff communities.

With the purchase of a ticket, guests are helping the league to help others.

“All of our money goes back to our projects such as helping foster care who age out in Franklin County, the Kelton House Museum and Garden, and then all the programming and training for our volunteers of women that are members of the league," Virginia Reutzel, co-chair of the Holiday Tour of Homes, said.

The tour kicks off on Saturday, Dec. 7 and runs for one day only.
