Warriors vs. Timberwolves injury report
The latest on Golden State’s matchup against Minnesota.
After a thrilling, short-handed victory on Thursday night against the Houston Rockets, the Golden State Warriors are back in action tonight, as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. PT on ESPN.
And there’s good news! The Dubs might not be so short-handed tonight. Here’s the full injury report.
Warriors
Out — De’Anthony Melton (left ACL surgery)
No new news on the Melton front, as he recently had successful surgery and will be out for the year.
Out — Gui Santos (G League assignment)
Santos isn’t on a two-way contract, but it seems like he’ll spend more time in Santa Cruz than in San Francisco this year.
Questionable — Andrew Wiggins (right ankle impingement)
Steve Kerr revealed after Thursday’s game that Wiggins likely would not have played had the team been more healthy, but gutted through some serious ankle pain to get on the court. Not only did he do that, but he had a spectacular game. Perhaps he’ll get some much-deserved rest tonight.
Probable — Steph Curry (bilateral knee patellofemoral pain)
Curry is back! Potentially! Possibly! Probably! Thank goodness for that.
Probable — Draymond Green (left calf tightness)
It sure seemed like Green might be out for an extended period of time, but thankfully that doesn’t seem to be the case either.
Probable — Gary Payton II (left knee inflammation)
Payton has had a mostly healthy season, so hopefully this doesn’t sideline him. He could be quite helpful defending Anthony Edwards.
Timberwolves
Out — Joe Ingles (left soleus strain)
Ingles has only played in seven games and 26 minutes this year. It unfortunately seems like his best days are well behind him.
Out — Rob Dillingham (right ankle sprain)
The eighth overall pick in June’s draft hasn’t really had much of a chance to get his career underway. He’s only appeared in 11 of Minnesota’s games, and hasn’t played a very big role.
Out — Leonard Miller (G League assignment)
Miller also hasn’t gotten his career off the ground yet. He played a very limited role in just 17 games as a rookie last year, and has yet to get into an NBA game this season.
Enjoy the action, Dub Nation!
