'Flawless': Trump campaign aide gloats and takes swipe at Harris team — to their faces

An outspoken Trump campaign adviser took a swipe at his Democratic counterparts on Friday, twice mocking the Harris-Walz campaign's insistence they ran a "flawless" campaign.

Chris LaCivita, a senior adviser to President-elect Donald Trump's presidential campaign, attended a panel conversation Friday at Harvard University's Campaign Managers Conference and got the chance to gloat straight the faces of his rivals, Rolling Stone reported.

In particular, he took issue with a remark made by Sheila Nix, Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign chief of staff, who said Thursday that Harris “ran a pretty flawless campaign.”

"Flawless execution," LaCivita retorted after Jen O’Malley Dillon, Joe Biden and Harris' campaign chair, said she didn’t think the first debate between Trump and Biden would deeply impact the race.

"I thought it was humorous, so I’m not gonna let that go," LaCivita told Rolling Stone on Friday afternoon, noting that the Harris team appears to be "creating this perception that they couldn’t do anything to change the trajectory."

"I’m not here to rub anybody’s face in it,” he said: “They raised $1.5 billion in 107 days, and they never had a message. They were running triple [or] quadruple the amount of creatives every week that we were."

LaCivita told The New York Times, "Flawless campaigns don’t lose."

"You can run a great campaign — you can run a good campaign — and still lose. But you can’t run a flawless campaign and lose," he insisted.
