Congressman Torres blasts crime in NYC

NEW YORK (PIX11) – The cold-blooded shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in the heart of Manhattan shocked New Yorkers, including Congressman Ritchie Torres, leaving the lawmaker to pose the question: “What is happening in New York City?”

Torres joined PIX on Politics to discuss city crime with host Dan Mannarino. He also criticized the governor.

"I have no confidence in the leadership of Kathy Hochul," Torres said.

The lawmaker said he's considering running for governor in 2026 and will decide by the middle of next year.
