“They have to…”: Sunil Gavaskar’s MASSIVE advice to Indian bowlers for Adelaide Test
Legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar expressed disappointment with the Indian bowlers’ performance on the first day of the second Border-Gavaskar series Test at the Adelaide Oval. Australia was comfortably placed at 86/1 at stumps after bundling out India for 180 in their first innings.
“They have to make the batters play as much as they can. And this is what happens when you make the batters play as much as you can,” Gavaskar told Star Sports.
Gavaskar believes that the Indian bowlers haven’t really been able to use the pink ball like they should have.
“You can set them up by bowling a couple of deliveries outside and then get the ball to move back in, as it did to Nathan McSweeney in the Perth Test, or to Labuschagne in the Perth Test, like what Bumrah did. The Indian bowlers have not really used the pink ball as well as they should have,” Gavaskar added.
Australia batters Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne both played quite sensibly against the Indian bowlers on the first day and helped their side in not suffering a batting collapse like they did during the previous Test in Perth.
