Innovative rehabilitation: Life convict designs solar-powered autorickshaw in Coimbatore Central Prison

A life-sentenced prisoner, Yuga Adithan, with an aeronautical engineering background, designed and built a solar-powered auto-rickshaw within Coimbatore Central Prison. Prison authorities plan to replicate these vehicles across Tamil Nadu prisons to transport visitors. Adithan also created a solar bicycle for prison staff and has been tasked with building an electric ambulance.
