Alan Halsall surprised by Coleen Rooney’s acting skills and says she could get a job on Corrie
COLEEN Rooney is a “fantastic actress” who could bag a role in Coronation Street, cobbles legend Alan Halsall says.
He was impressed by the Wag’s skills when the pair lied to camp about how many stars they had got on a Bushtucker Trial on last Monday’s show.

Prankster Alan – who was evicted from the jungle in sixth place on Friday night – came up with the idea.
He said: “I mentioned it to Coleen and I was a bit unsure if she would want to do that. And she was like, let’s do it.
“She walked in and she was like, ‘We only got two’. And I was like, ‘Hey, I’m the actor here!’
“We managed to drag it out. Coleen was fantastic, a proper leading actress.
“I believed Coleen – and I was in on the joke.
“She was absolutely fantastic as an actress.
“I said, ‘I think she could be a barmaid of the Rovers Return.’ She was absolutely brilliant.”
Alan, in his 27th year of playing Tyrone Dobbs in Corrie, became good pals with Coleen, 38, in camp.
He is a huge Manchester United fan – but never once asked Coleen about her Red Devils legend husband Wayne, 39.
Alan did, though, say he would love to go for a pint with him – perhaps at one of the “few” bars inside his and Coleen’s £20million Cheshire mansion.
He said: “Listen, if Wayne fancies a beer, I’ll go and have a beer, no problem.”
Alan said he will be staying in touch with all 11 of his new celeb pals – including Coleen, McFly singer Danny Jones and boxing great Barry McGuigan.
Irishman Barry, 63, has spoken about hosting them all for a reunion party over Christmas.
Giving his verdict on his campmates, Alan told The Sun: “Wherever we’re going to meet up, we’re going to have fun and we’ll reminisce about an experience that we’ve all shared together.
“I’ll look forward to that from now on.”
Before heading back home to Manchester – where he will be reunited with his daughter Sienna, 11, after four weeks apart – Alan wants to enjoy his time in Oz.
He hopes to get a round of golf in with his brother Stephen, who met him in the jungle.
