Trump arrives in France for first overseas visit after US election victory

Donald Trump, the President-elect of the United States, has arrived in France on his first foreign trip after winning the presidential election.

Reuters reported that Trump’s plane landed at Paris Orly Airport at 6:00 AM on Saturday, December 7th.

During this trip, Trump will participate in the reopening ceremony of the famous Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris alongside dozens of world leaders and political figures.

According to the report, it is expected that Trump will meet and discuss with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the ceremony.

The Notre-Dame Cathedral was severely damaged by a massive fire in 2019, and after five years, the restoration process has been completed.

Trump’s visit to France highlights his focus on global diplomacy ahead of his inauguration, with the Notre-Dame ceremony serving as a key moment for international engagement, particularly with European leaders like Macron, ahead of his presidency in 2025.
