Guardians News and Notes - Shane Bieber Will Return
News and Notes for Saturday, December 7th, 2024
SHANE BIEBER IS BACK.
I could reread that sentence 100 times and get chills on each read. Shane Bieber is not only back, but is reported to have turned down better offers from multiple teams to remain with the Cleveland Guardians. This team friendly deal could be due in part to resigning Bieber’s “totally not a battery” personal catcher, Austin Hedges. But, like a lot of people are speculating, not only is the contract favorable for someone in his position, but also allows Bieber to rehab within an organization that molded him into the All-Star ace that he is. Full details on this 3-tier cake (or whatever the opposite of a crumb is) of news can be read in Quincy’s articles posted last night.

Today we celebrate, not just because there’s finally news to report, not just because another superstar took a city deal to remain in the Cleveland organization, and not just because oh-thank-goodness-the-front-office-finally-did-something.
Shane Bieber is back.
And like the wonderfully greedy fans we are, the next question is: who’s next?
