Weekend warming trend, breezy, wet start to workweek

Central Ohio Weather and Radar

High pressure will build across the Southeast this weekend, bringing moderating temperatures and sunshine. Temperatures will reach the upper 30s. Patchy clouds will be around in a light southerly flow, keeping overnight readings from falling below freezing.

A more dramatic warm-up will begin Sunday, thanks to a breezy southwesterly wind, as readings climb into the low 50s. High clouds will increase, signaling a wetter pattern. A round of rain will after midnight and continue Monday morning, before tapering off to light showers midday.

Temperatures will reach the low 50s Monday. A trailing cold front sliding east across Ohio Tuesday, bringing showers with a wave of low pressure moving north along the boundary to the Great Lakes.

Windy and cold weather will return on Wednesday, turning any lingering moisture into scattered lake-enhanced snow showers, as temperatures settle in the 30s.

Sunshine returns with high pressure building in from the northwest Thursday and Friday. The weather will moderate again next weekend.
