‘Kind of bowler who…’: India’s coach makes remarks on Mohammed Siraj having exchange with Travis Head in Adelaide Test
After India’s disappointing performance on Day 2 of the 2nd Test between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. The bowling coach, Morne Morkel, addressed the media and skillfully faced the questions posed to him.
The first question asked to him was the fierce send-off by Mohammed Siraj to Travis Head. Morkel responded to this question by saying that Siraj is a bowler who would put everything on line.
“We all know Siraj puts everything on the line, he is the kind of bowler, who will run in all day. There are some moments in a game. But I am sure off the field they will be the best of mates,” said Morkel.
Both Siraj and Head were involved in a verbal exchange. This happened after Siraj dismissed Head. Siraj followed the wicket with an aggressive send-off, which forced a strong response from Head. The players exchanged some words, and Siraj even gestured Head to leave the field.
