Danielle Deadwyler Does Gucci in Brown With Minimal Glossy Sandal for ‘Carry On’ Premiere
Danielle Deadwyler went all brown. This week, the actress attended a premiere for Netflix’s “Carry On” film. In it she stars with Taron Egerton, Jason Bateman and Sofia Carson. For the event she was styled by the duo Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald. Together, the trio chose a brown pleated dress. The dress was draped around the body and sheer, exposing Deadwyler’s under garments. She wore all gold Gucci accessories including braceletes, a necklace and earrings.
For shoes, Deadwyler kept the brown and gold theme. She wore a pair of brown sandals featuring a gold heel. They seem remarkably similar to Tom Ford’s Naked Padlock sandal. That style feautures a rounded toe. It also includes a strap over the foot as well as one that loops back behind the heel and then over the ankle. It is identified by its padlock that dangles from the ankle strap.
While Deadwyler’s shoe includes many of these details it does not include the padlock. Deadwyler’s shoe also includes a gold stiletto. The heel is likely around four inches. It is unclear if the straps are made of a high gloss patent leather or some sort of jelly material. The latter is likely.
This isn’t the first time this week that the “Till” actress wore shoes with a gold accent. On December 2 she attended the Gothams 34th Annual Film Awards in New York. while her look was a heavily encrusted gown, she wore black mules. The shoes included a strap at the top of the foot and a pointed toe-box. The toe box included a gold tip as well as other gold accents. The shoes were for Malone Souliers.
The silhouette was the company’s Uma style. Saks Fifth Avenue is selling it for $575.
