Opelousas deputy city marshall arrested, charged with sexual battery
OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) -- An Opelousas deputy city marshal has been arrested and charged with sexual abuse, authorities said.
Gerald Greene Sr. is charged with felony sexual battery and misdemeanor sexual battery, according to Louisiana State Police, which made the arrest and is handling the investigation.
According to Opelousas City Marshal Paul Mouton, Greene is a deputy in his office, and works as a liason with the Elderly Awareness Program.
He was booked into the St. Landry Parish jail and released on unspecified bond, officials said.
