Auckland Transport Wins Prince Michael International Road Safety Award For Safe Speeds Programme

Over the first 24 months of implementation, Auckland saw a remarkable 30% reduction in deaths and serious injuries (DSIs) on roads where speed limits were lowered, compared to a 9% increase in DSIs on roads where no changes were made.
